Yesterday West Yorkshire Police confirmed four arrests had been made after a man attended hospital with a gunshot wound shortly after 10pm on Saturday.

The man, in his twenties, had suffered serious injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said initial enquiries suggested the incident happened in a car park off Oak Lane, at the junction of Victor Street in the Manningham area, following a verbal altercation between a number of males.

Man charged with attempted murder

24-year-old Mohammed Kamal, of Girlington Road, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He’s been remanded to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court later today.

A 23-year-old, who was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, remains in custody.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life, and a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They were both bailed pending further enquiries.
