The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce has celebrated the addition of the Current River Bowling Family Fun Center & RV Park to its membership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Located at 4007 US Highway 160 in Doniphan, the center is owned by David and Erin Woodson, both natives of Doniphan with extensive business backgrounds. They took ownership in September and have since made several changes to the facility.
The Woodsons have introduced a full kitchen with updated equipment, offering specialty pizzas, build-your-own pizzas, and burgers.
The center is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4-10 p.m., with family evenings Friday from 4-11 p.m. that offers a non-alcohol setting, featuring cosmic bowling from 9-11 p.m. Saturday hours are from 12-11 p.m.
The center hosts men’s and women’s USBC-sanctioned leagues and a house mixed league, with plans to introduce pool and dart leagues. Karaoke nights are from 7 p.m. to close on Fridays and Saturdays.
Erin expressed their commitment to their customers, stating, “We are working hard to make improvements.” Plans are underway to add restrooms at the front of the center, with completion expected by the end of 2025. The Woodsons aim to create a welcoming space for children’s and family leagues and serve as a hub for surrounding schools.
With the assistance of Heather Hill, general manager; Everett Evan; maintenance; Dwayne Womack, maintenance supervisor; Lorna Nelson, kitchen cook; and Galen Womack, (who according to Erin “is our glue”) the center is sure to be a family fun center for all.
