A high-speed police chase in Granada, Spain resulted in a pedestrian being hit by a car. The driver, who was unlicensed, fled from a police stop.
Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle, but the driver sped away. The ensuing chase ended when the fleeing driver struck a pedestrian. The driver was subsequently arrested.
While the pedestrian was injured, luckily, their injuries were not life-threatening. Emergency medical services were on the scene to provide treatment.
The incident occurred near Calle Pedro Machuca in the northern part of Granada.
The arrested driver faces charges related to reckless driving, fleeing from police, driving without a license, and causing injury.

Fuentes policiales han confirmado a IDEAL que una persona ha sido arrestada durante la madrugada por arrollar a un peatón e ir al volante de un vehículo sin tener carnet de conducir. Todo comenzó cuando los agentes dieron el alto a un coche, pero lejos de parar, el conductor aceleró y se dio a la fuga para zafarse del control policial.
Los hechos han tenido lugar en las inmediaciones de la calle Pedro Machuca, en la zona Norte de Granada. El atropello ocurrió cuando, el ahora arrestado, emprendía la huida. Hasta el lugar también se trasladaron dos ambulancias para atender a la persona arrollada, aunque no resultó herida de gravedad.
