Successful Delaware Performance of "Amazing Taiwan"

The "Amazing Taiwan" show, presented by the National Taiwan Sport University as part of the 2025 American Taiwan Traditional Week cultural visit, was a resounding success in Delaware on May 23, 2025. Approximately 400 people, including members of the Delaware Huamei Friendship Association, the Washington DC Taiwanese Education Center, local residents, and mainstream Americans, attended the event at The Grand Opera House.

The performance, which had not been seen in Delaware for 14 years, showcased a blend of Taiwanese culture, including:

• Traditional Taiwanese music and dance
• Hakka and aboriginal cultural elements
• Popular Taiwanese songs

The audience actively participated, singing along and clapping to familiar tunes, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

The show received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with attendees enthusiastically calling out "Taiwan—Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!" and requesting encores. The 80-minute performance left a lasting impression, demonstrating the richness and diversity of Taiwanese culture.

The event was organized by the Delaware Huamei Friendship Association and supported by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC). Speeches by the chairwoman of the Huamei Friendship Association and the director of the Washington DC Taiwanese Education Center emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and the joy it brings to the Taiwanese diaspora.
