Dandre Thomas Atkisson, 28, of Muncy, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with felony strangulation, terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment following a domestic disturbance.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on February 18th, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The victim reported that Atkisson had strangled her, threatening to kill her. She also sustained injuries including a bite mark, a swollen eye, and a shoe print on her face and arm.
Atkisson was arraigned before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and charged with felony strangulation, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison with a bail set at $150,000.
With his hands around the woman’s neck, Dandre Thomas Atkisson told the woman ” I’m going to make sure I kill you,” is was alleged in an affidavit filed by state police, who were dispatched to a Fairfield Township modular home on Old Cement Road to investigate a domestic disturbance about 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 18. Police said Atkisson, 28, of 528 Ruben Kehrer Road, lot 98, Muncy, allegedly bit the woman on the neck, punched her “multiple times” in the face as well as kicked her in the face and the arm. When the trooper spoke with the victim at the scene in the back of an ambulance, he noticed her swollen right eye, a bite mark on her neck and a shoe print on the right side of her face and upper right arm, it was stated in an affidavit. Arraigned before District Judge Kirsten Gardner on charges of felony strangulation, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, Atkisson was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
