Erin Patterson is accused of murdering three individuals and attempting to murder another by poisoning them with death cap mushrooms during a meal at her home. The victims were Gail Patterson (70), Don Patterson (70), and Heather Wilkinson (66). Ian Wilkinson (68), survived.
The incident occurred on July 29, 2023, in Leongatha, eastern Victoria, after the victims consumed a beef Wellington allegedly prepared by Patterson.
Patterson appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. Her trial is scheduled for later this month.

Police allege Patterson cooked a beef Wellington laced with death cap mushrooms.
Heather’s husband, Ian Wilkinson, 68, was the only survivor of the alleged poisonous beef Wellington. He was released from Austin Hospital in September 2023 after weeks of treatment.
Patterson has pleaded not guilty, and her trial is scheduled for later this month.
