At least two names familiar to Berkshire County will be lining up in the first corral and first wave of runners on Monday at the start line of the 129th Boston Marathon.
Both Dalton's Alex White and Boston's Ted Yee, a Lenox graduate, have earned entry alongside some of the top runners in the field.
Yee, 22, a standout runner for the Millionaires who graduated in 2021, was the top local finisher in Boston last year. He finished in 2 hours, 37 minutes, 31 seconds, good for 308th place overall.
White, 23, a Wahconah Regional graduate and past winner of the Steel Rail Half Marathon and Dalton CRA May Day Races, returns to Boston after finishing just 50 spots behind Yee in 2:38:34. In 2023, White ran a 2:35:19.
Yee will run in Bib 952, while White will be in Bib 1074.
There are five entrants listed from Pittsfield, including 63-year-old Mark McDermott who will be in Bib 20172. McDermott raced out of Williamstown last year and finished in 4:03:26.
Michael Bennett, age 43, will run in Bib 32009; Timothy Burke, 41, will run in Bib 27564; Regine Orazio, 40, will run in Bib 20040; Julia Shepherd, 25, will run in Bib 26558.
No other Berkshire town had more than one registrant listed as of last week.
Williamstown's Ben Scotto, 53, will be in the eighth wave of the first corral in Bib 8355. Scotto logged a time of 3:16:26 last year.
David Wilson, 63, will represent Lanesboro in the second wave in Bib 16882. Wilson's 2024 time was 4:11:53.
Laura Stephen, 61, will represent Great Barrington in Bib 23196. Stephen was the top local female finisher last year, crossing in 3:42:52.
David Oelberg, 61, will represent Lenox in Bib 21982. Oelberg ran Boston last year in 3:53:12.
Allison Lassoe, 62, will represent Sheffield in Bib 24277. Lassoe ran Boston last year in 4:21:02.
Connor McDonough, 34, will represent Washington in Bib 26392.
Emily Moulton, 28, will represent North Adams in Bib 26527.

The Dalton CRA's annual May Day Races will return for their 48th year on Sunday, May 4.
There will be offerings of a 5K, 10L and the Obstacles & Popsicles kids' races, all starting at Nessacus Middle School in Dalton.
The Obstacles & Popsicles is for kids 8 and under, while there will be a Splatter Sprint run as well for kids 8 and up. All races will be chip timed by Berkshire Running Center. There is also an untimed fun walk, with major sponsorhsip from Greylock Federal Credit Union.
The 5K and 10K races, along with the 2-mile walk, will begin at 9 a.m. The kids races will begin starting at 10 a.m. with the younger group first.
Per a release, "The first 100 runners to register will receive a wicking T-shirt. Every participant in the Obstacles & Popsicles kids’ races will receive a ribbon and freeze pop at the finish line. All proceeds benefit nonprofit CRA and Dalton Youth Center programs."
