He was the first and the greatest, while our last president, Joe Biden, was the worst. Biden’s enabling of the illegal alien invasion, with all of its consequent child trafficking, crime, and wasted resources, was undoubtedly one of his biggest failures. Fortunately, we dodged the bullet of a Kamala Harris presidency, but as the Trump administration uncovers the true extent of the border crisis, it is thoroughly disturbing.
Catherine of Siena, who is commemorated today in the old Catholic calendar, once said, “You know that every evil is founded in self-love, and that self-love is a cloud that takes away the light of reason.” This quote in fact captures precisely what is wrong with Democrat leadership. They are so consumed with self-love and so lacking in love for their country and fellow citizens that they lost all reason and fanatically pursued destructive border policies that helped them rig elections, fill red states with pro-Democrat foreigners, and redistribute income in the short term.
Democrat leaders don’t care a hoot what the long-term effects are. They simply assume they will be immune to any negative consequences.

As a stark illustration of the effects of Democrats’ selfishness, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard just reported that her office identified 700 “alien terrorists” tied to MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and the Sinaloa cartel — all now designated as foreign terrorist organizations.
And the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) “identified almost 600 individuals with ties to other terrorists who came through our borders illegally, claimed asylum, and, under the Biden administration, paroled here within our borders.”
We already knew that, as of September, when Biden was still in office, at least 425,000 illegal aliens in the United States were convicted criminals, over 13,000 of them being murderers. And as of August, the Biden administration had released at least 99 illegal aliens who were on the terror watchlist into America over a two-year span. And the administration lost 300,000 trafficked children.
Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, Jocelyn Nungaray, Ivory Smith, Nate Baker (whose killer was previously ordered deported), David Lee, and Travis Wolfe are no longer with us. The Democrat leaders couldn’t care less how many victims of illegal alien crime there are — we saw that at Trump’s speech where Democrat congressmen refused to stand or applaud to honor Jocelyn’s and Laken’s mothers. But Democrats are expending vast amounts of time and effort trying to bring home accused drug- and human-trafficking Kilmar Abrego Garcia, pictured above with Sen. Chris Van Hollen, who flew to El Salvador to meet Garcia.
Every evil is founded in self-love. Lucifer was the ultimate example of perverted and destructive self-love, and his minions in the Democrat Party are true imitators of their master.
