He is alleged to have breached the standards of professional behaviour expected of police officers in respect of respect and courtesy, orders and instructions and that his conduct was discreditable.

In a separate case another police officer, who has not been identified, will be subject to a misconduct hearing over claims they inappropriately examined a mobile phone belonging to a member of the public.
The officer allegedly applied undue pressure to obtain the relevant PIN numbers and provided misleading or dishonest accounts in witness statements.
It is also alleged that the officer unlawfully searched a vulnerable person’s address.
They are accused of breaching standards for honesty and integrity, confidentiality and duties and responsibilities.
The hearing will take place from June 2-6.

Other recent Norfolk cases have involved officers found to have had inappropriate relationships including a special constable sacked for failing to disclose a relationship with a criminal, while in others an officer was sacked for inappropriately touching female colleagues and another for explicit photos and messages.
Officers have also faced actions for lying about the circumstances of an accident and driving 100 miles to attend a comedy show while on duty.
Norfolk Police Federation, which represents rank and file officers, has called for complaints procedures to be speeded up saying they can hang over both officers and those making allegations for months.
