A person died on Friday following an incident involving a non-domesticated animal in Loris, South Carolina. Horry County Police reported the event occurred off Highway 746, within the animal's enclosure.
The victim was an adult relative of the animal's owner. Authorities have not released information about the type of animal involved, but confirmed the animal is now secured and there is no ongoing risk to the public. The Horry County Coroner's Office responded, and an autopsy is underway. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
