The Italian Senate's Constitutional Affairs Committee rejected a Lega party amendment aiming to limit governors to two terms. The proposal garnered only 5 votes in favor (Lega, Italia Viva, and a representative of the Autonomies), with 15 votes against.
The committee president, Alberto Balboni (FdI), and Senator Domenico Matera (FdI) abstained from voting.
Non passa l'emendamento della Lega sul terzo mandato dei governatori: in Commissione Affari Costituzionali al Senato la proposta ha ottenuto solo 5 voti a favore (oltre alla Lega anche Italia Viva e il rappresentante delle Autonomie) e 15 contrari. Astenuti il presidente della Commissione Alberto Balboni (FdI) e il senatore di FdI Domenico Matera.
