A tractor-trailer carrying dairy products caught fire on Route 220 South in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, around 2:40 p.m. on Thursday. The driver, Harold Woods, reported it was his first such incident in 24 years of driving. He was traveling from Arkport, New York, to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, at the time of the incident.
City firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze within approximately 15 minutes. However, the incident resulted in about 30 minutes of significant southbound traffic delays on Route 220.
