A little more than five weeks after shooting a 14-year-old boy in the leg with a pellet gun in Jersey Shore, Gage Murray shot his own 13-year-old brother six times with a pellet gun, also in the borough, Lycoming Regional police alleged in court documents filed at the office of District Judge Denise Dieter.
The first shooting occurred about 7:45 p.m. on May 1 when Murray, 18, fired a single shot at a boy who was crossing the street outside Murrayโs home at 810 Allegheny St., police alleged in an affidavit. The second shooting took place about 7 p.m. Sunday when he fired multiple shots at his brother while the brother was playing basketball with a group of friends at the community park in the 400 block of Thompson Street, police said. The assault was captured on surveillance video. The brother was struck in both arms, his back and his chest, police said.
There was no indication that either victim required medical treatment. Murray was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Denise Dieter on one count each of terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person as well as two counts each of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was automatically placed in the Lycoming County Prison after the judge denied him bail.
