Roseanne Barr’s career has taken some odd turns in the past several years. From having her comeback TV series canceled to aligning with more right-wing audiences in an attempt to resuscitate her popularity, the comedian has tried her hand at many things, and her work has been met with mixed results. The controversial figure can add a new line item to her resume, as she’s now a Billboard-charting musician, one who conquers several tallies on her first try.

After joining politically-focused hip-hop artist Tom MacDonald on his tune “Daddy’s Home,” Barr earns her first big hits on Billboard’s weekly tallies. The tune opens on three lists, and it conquers all of them.

“Daddy’s Home” most notably leads the Digital Song Sales chart, the ranking of the bestselling tracks of any style throughout the U.S. Luminate reports that the single opens with a little more than 7,500 copies purchased. That’s a fairly small sum for the top-selling track in the country, but January and February are known as some of the quietest periods of the year in the music industry.

Barr and MacDonald’s collaboration also leads two other tallies as it arrives. “Daddy’s Home” enters both the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales charts this week, earning both artists a No. 1 smash.

MacDonald has landed on these rankings before with several of his politically-charged, often controversial tracks. Barr, however, is new to the Billboard charts.

“Daddy’s Home” benefits from its connection to Donald Trump, who was inaugurated for a second nonconsecutive term as President of the United States in mid-January. The tune refers to the leader as “daddy” in an uncomfortable way, but apparently one that appealed to a likely Republican-leaning audience.

Sadly, the song isn’t only about Trump and his comeback. The tune features several lines that are transphobic in nature and which many will find offensive. That didn’t stop the track from selling well enough to hit No. 1, though it might not have had a shot at the summit had it been released during another, busier time of the year.
