Aquadeus, part of Grupo Fuertes, recently acquired the iconic Cantabrian water bottler, Agua de Solares. They plan to invest €14 million, aiming to boost production, increase the workforce, and restore the brand's former glory.
Aquadeus intends to maintain and strengthen the Agua de Solares brand, expanding its market reach, particularly in central and northern Spain. The company plans to maintain glass bottle production and anticipates a significant increase in production volume, aiming for 50-70 trucks daily within two to three years (compared to the current 4-7).
The increased production will lead to job creation, both directly within the company and indirectly through related services such as transportation and local suppliers. Aquadeus intends to maintain the agreement with the Medio Cudeyo town hall to keep the Mina Pepita park a public space.
Aquadeus acknowledges the previous challenges faced by Agua de Solares but emphasizes its commitment to modernization and market repositioning. They will focus on strategic distribution and marketing to achieve profitability and wider brand recognition.
