Panamanian deputies have once again summoned Foreign Minister Javier Martínez Acha to appear before the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly. This follows an earlier summons on January 29th, where he was given 10 business days to attend and respond to a questionnaire.
Deputy Rafael Buchanan, from the Revolutionary Democratic Party (PRD), noted the Minister's failure to appear and expressed concern over deteriorating US-Panama bilateral relations. He emphasized the Minister's obligation to attend.
The committee unanimously approved the reiterated summons. The decision highlights the Assembly's concern regarding the Minister's absence and its implications for international relations.
