The Ocean Victory, a new cruise ship operated by Alma Cruceros, has begun its inaugural voyage from Málaga's Palmeral maritime station. This 100% Malagueño cruise ship is designed for boutique experiences, with a focus on luxury and a smaller passenger capacity (186 passengers).
The ship's initial routes will focus on the Andalusian coastline, including Seville, Cádiz, AlmerÃa, Huelva, Algeciras, Ceuta, and Melilla, with future plans to expand to Barcelona, the French Riviera, Corsica, Sardinia, and the Balearic Islands. The Ocean Victory boasts 93 double cabins, most with balconies, and a premium gastronomic experience curated by Michelin-starred chefs MartÃn Berasategui and Paolo Casagrande. Prices start at €5,000 per double cabin.
The Ocean Victory is committed to environmental sustainability. It features hybrid electric motors, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 60% compared to conventional cruise ships. The ship also incorporates water recycling and waste management systems.
The cruise line, Alma Cruceros, is targeting Latin American tourists, promoting Andalusian capitals. The company's ownership structure includes Alma Cruises (59%), Fundación Unicaja (35%), and three company executives (6%).
