A recent Datum International poll indicates that 52% of Peruvians identify with either center or right-wing ideologies (28% and 24%, respectively), while only 11% align with the left. A substantial 33% remain undecided.
Right-wing identification is prevalent in Lima and Callao (35%), whereas left-wing identification is more concentrated in the south (16%). The largest percentage of undecided voters is in central Peru (40%).
The poll reveals that public awareness of political figures doesn't automatically translate to positive approval ratings. Established political parties and groups in Congress also face low positive approval ratings, generally around 13% and above 50% rejection.
