The latest Irish Times/Ipsos poll shows Sinn Féin regaining its lead as Ireland's most popular party, with 26% support (a 6% increase). Fine Gael's support has dropped significantly to 16% (down 3%), marking a 30-year low. Fianna Fáil remains at 22% (up 1%).
Public dissatisfaction with the Fianna Fáil-Fine Gael-Independent coalition is evident, with only 39% expressing satisfaction, compared to 51% dissatisfaction. A significant majority (64%) disapprove of the coalition's agreement with Independent TD Michael Lowry.
The poll, conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1200 participants, excludes undecided voters and those unlikely to vote. It shows increased support for smaller parties like the Social Democrats and Labour.
