The Italian Ministry of Justice is working on a proposal to offer preferential treatment to businesses that demonstrate strong commitment to workplace safety and adhere to relevant regulations. This initiative, led by Vice-Minister Francesco Paolo Sisto, aims to incentivize better safety practices.
Similar to the approach in medical malpractice, if a business's adherence to safety regulations is verified, liability for workplace accidents would be limited to instances of gross negligence. Employees would still retain their full right to compensation for damages.
