Key Agreement Points

The Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian regional government) and the rectors of Andalusian public universities have agreed on "extraordinary" funding for 2025. This funding covers the cost of implementing agreements reached in the June 2024 General Negotiation Table for Public Andalusian Universities regarding staff compensation.

  • Compensation for Teaching and Research Staff (PDI): Funding will cover the cost of regional supplements for PDI, adjusted to effective ranges.
  • Compensation for Technical Management and Administrative and Services Staff (PTGAS): Includes funding for the first year of horizontal career progression payments, with subsequent years (2026 and 2027) covered by further agreements.

Financial Details and Auditing

The exact amount will be audited by the regional ministries of Economy, Finance and European Funds and University, Research and Innovation based on the agreed-upon criteria for calculating the growth of the public university workforce.

Ongoing Issues

A technical working committee will be established in the first half of the year to address outstanding issues raised by university rectors regarding the university funding model (valid until 2027). The General Negotiation Table will be convened to explain the agreement details.
