Only Justices Kassio Nunes Marques and André Mendonça voted for their acquittal. The condemned individuals deny involvement in the January 8th events.
Bolsonaro's speech further involved accusations against the STF, claiming collusion with President Lula da Silva to secure his election win in 2022. He reiterated his refusal to flee Brazil, asserting that he would be imprisoned if he had remained in the country on January 8th, and also claimed there are attempts to assassinate him.
