Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino announced on Wednesday, April 16th, that he had undergone a medical procedure. Due to this, he canceled his scheduled weekly press conference for Thursday, April 17th.
While he didn't provide many details, Mulino stated that he needed a short rest. He also sent a message to the citizens wishing them a peaceful Easter and reiterating his commitment to a better future for Panama.
The President's office had previously announced the press conference for 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. His announcement follows his return from an official trip to Peru and the resignation of the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Ruiz Hernández.
