The marina location is now called The Outpost, and offers “food, music, drinks and fun” according to their Facebook page.

In addition to offering kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals, The Outpost has plans to serve food and drinks.

According to dockmaster Alex Cassell, menu items will include paninis, flatbreads, sub sandwiches, hot dogs and peel and eat shrimp. They will also have a full bar, he said.

The former business, Waccamaw Outfitters, had previously operated for a decade before ending their lease with the City of Conway at the end of 2024, previous Sun News reporting said.

In December 2024, the owner of Waccamaw Outfitters posted on social media saying he had found a new owner to take over the business.
