State police investigating suspected homicide in Loyalsock Township | News, Sports, Jobs - Williamsport Sun-Gazette
State police are investigating a suspected homicide in Loyalsock Township, they said in a press release Sunday afternoon.
The deceased, unnamed at this time, was discovered around 10 a.m. Sunday, when police responded to the Liberty Lodge, 2021 E. Third St. in Loyalsock Township, for a welfare of a patron, the release said.
“Upon arrival, it was determined that an altercation occurred between two hotel residents. During that altercation there was a fatal stabbing,” according to the press release.
While the investigation is on-going, there is no threat to the public,” the release stressed.
Police are not releasing further details at this time.
