Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a homicide in Loyalsock Township, Pennsylvania. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was found at the Liberty Lodge (2021 E. Third St.) around 10 a.m. on Sunday following a report of a welfare check.
Police indicate a fatal stabbing resulted from an altercation between two hotel residents. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities assure the public there is no ongoing threat.

The deceased, unnamed at this time, was discovered around 10 a.m. Sunday, when police responded to the Liberty Lodge, 2021 E. Third St. in Loyalsock Township, for a welfare of a patron, the release said.
βUpon arrival, it was determined that an altercation occurred between two hotel residents. During that altercation there was a fatal stabbing,β according to the press release.
While the investigation is on-going, there is no threat to the public,β the release stressed.
