A 29-year-old woman was shot by police in Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia, around 5:30 am on Police Road near Springvale Road.
The woman, armed and in a car, was allegedly evading police before being intercepted. Following a confrontation, she was shot by police. Her injuries, to the upper body, are non-life-threatening.
A 27-year-old man from Noble Park was also arrested at the scene. The armed crime squad is investigating the shooting, overseen by the professional standards command as per standard procedure when police firearms are discharged.
